Meet

Dr. Zachary Santoro, Restorative Dentist in Indianapolis

Meet Dr. Zachary Santoro, one of the highly experienced restorative dentists at Nuvia in Indianapolis, IN.

About

Dr. Zachary Santoro

Dr. Santoro’s pursuit of a career in dentistry was largely inspired by the time he spent shadowing his grandfather who worked as a dentist in Florida.

His dental education started at Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health where he studied in both Kirksville and St Louis. He then completed 2 years of post graduate training at Southern Illinois University where he did both Advanced Education Residency and a Surgical and Prosthetic Fellowship.

When asked about why he’s so passionate about dentistry, Dr. Santoro shares that he loves the fulfillment of helping patients achieve their goals.

He also loves to work in a role where he has the opportunity to create a comfortable, positive environment for patients. He feels this is especially important as many patients he meets come having had less than ideal experiences at the dentist.

Why Nuvia?

Dr. Santoro was drawn to Nuvia in Indianapolis by the opportunity to give patients a smile transformation with a 24 hour turnaround.

Nuvia’s revolutionary process and advanced technology allow Dr. Santoro to give patients a totally different experience than they would get with the traditional method of getting implants. Now his patients can receive their permanent teeth in 24 hours rather than waiting what could be up to 10+ months with temporary teeth.

Outside of Dentistry

When he isn’t working as a restorative dentist, Dr. Santoro likes to fish. Originally from Naples, FL, he loves to deepsea fish when he has the chance but also enjoys freshwater fishing in Indiana.

His other hobbies include watching college football, going to the gym, and walking his dog.

Dr. Mehul Patel

Growing up in a family of dentists and doctors, Dr. Patel was able to see firsthand how dramatically and quickly a smile can change.

Watching his father take care of patients, he saw the impact that a smile restoration can have.

His studies started at Penn State, where he majored in pre-medical sciences. He then completed dental school at Columbia University after which he earned his PhD in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Indiana University.

Why Nuvia?

As Dr. Patel discovered Nuvia, it became clear that those part of the Nuvia team were truly patient obsessed and delivered on excellent patient care.

Dr. Patel loves both this characteristic and the team centric atmosphere at Nuvia in Indianapolis

Additionally, Dr. Patel loves that he can be part of giving patients permanent teeth in 24 hours rather than sending them home with temporary teeth after the dental implant procedure.

Traditional methods of dental implants, often referred to as “Teeth in a Day” is where patients get temporary teeth in a day. The Nuvia way, however, gives patients their permanent teeth in 24 hours. These are the real, zirconia teeth.

Dr. Patel loves that his patients at Nuvia won’t have to deal with the frustrations of temporary teeth breaking and chipping. Instead, they get to enjoy their new teeth just 24 hours after their procedure.
