Meet Dr. Joseph Youssef, Nuvia’s highly-skilled oral & maxillofacial surgeons in the Torrance office.

About
Dr. Youssef’s desire to become a dentist began in the 5th grade. He attended dental school at UC San Francisco. It was during this time that he realized he was passionate about oral surgery.
He did an internship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York where he discovered the satisfaction that came from helping people get their teeth back, especially after years of struggling with them.
Now as an oral surgeon in Torrance, he gets to do what he loves every day.
Dr. Youssef had extensive experience with dental implants during his residency. Having seen how the traditional process leaves patients wearing temporary teeth for what may be 10+ months, he was eager to be part of Nuvia’s process where patients were getting their permanent teeth in 24 hours.
When he isn’t working, Dr. Youssef loves watching and playing basketball. His favorite place to play is by the beach, either with friends or solo.

Our doctors are not just experts; they are visionaries in the field of dental implantology. With decades of surgical and restorative experience, and a passion for pioneering research, they are at the forefront of innovation.
Dr. Courtney Nguyen is a restorative dentist at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Torrance, California. Born and raised in Orange County, she comes from a close-knit family and enjoys staying connected to her roots.
She chose dentistry because it combines healthcare, problem-solving, and creativity. Dr. Nguyen enjoys the artistic side of restorative dentistry and loves designing smiles that feel natural and fit each patient’s face. She earned her dental degree from the UCSF School of Dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in West Los Angeles.
Dr. Nguyen chose Nuvia because it allows her to give patients a finished smile right away, instead of having them wait months in temporary teeth. Early in her career, she saw how frustrating and discouraging long implant timelines of the traditional process could be for patients.
At Nuvia, she’s able to help patients heal in their permanent teeth and smile confidently almost immediately.
Outside of work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and staying active. She loves hiking, running along the beach, and spending time outside whenever she can. She’s also recently taken up surfing—though she’ll be the first to admit she’s still learning.
Dr. Nguyen enjoys being close to family and loves practicing in the community she calls home.
