Dr. Courtney Nyguen, DDS

Dr. Courtney Nguyen is a restorative dentist at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Torrance, California. Born and raised in Orange County, she comes from a close-knit family and enjoys staying connected to her roots.

She chose dentistry because it combines healthcare, problem-solving, and creativity. Dr. Nguyen enjoys the artistic side of restorative dentistry and loves designing smiles that feel natural and fit each patient’s face. She earned her dental degree from the UCSF School of Dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in West Los Angeles.

Why Nuvia?

Dr. Nguyen chose Nuvia because it allows her to give patients a finished smile right away, instead of having them wait months in temporary teeth. Early in her career, she saw how frustrating and discouraging long implant timelines of the traditional process could be for patients.

At Nuvia, she’s able to help patients heal in their permanent teeth and smile confidently almost immediately.

Outside of the Office

Outside of work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and staying active. She loves hiking, running along the beach, and spending time outside whenever she can. She’s also recently taken up surfing—though she’ll be the first to admit she’s still learning.

Dr. Nguyen enjoys being close to family and loves practicing in the community she calls home.

Why Nuvia

FAQs About Nuvia Dental Implants in Torrance

Dr. Preston Hansen, Oral Surgeon & Chief Clinical Officer, answers some of the most common questions about Nuvia's Permanent Teeth in 24hrs.

Learn More

Frequently Asked Questions:

How long does the process take?

Your permanent zirconia teeth are delivered just 24 hours after the dental implant surgery. This approach significantly reduces the time it takes to get your final smile compared to traditional methods that can take up to 10+ months.

What makes Nuvia different from other dental implant providers?

Nuvia focuses exclusively on full mouth restorations—not single implants. Our Torrance center has an in-house lab and a three-provider team, allowing us to complete the entire process under one roof.

Is the procedure painful?

You’ll be comfortably asleep during the procedure, so you won’t feel anything. Most patients report only mild discomfort afterward, typically managed with over-the-counter medication.

Do I need to wear temporary teeth?

No. Nuvia’s 24-hour system gets rid of the need for temporary or plastic healing dentures. You’ll receive your final zirconia teeth the next day.

Can I still get dental implants if I’ve been told I don’t have enough bone?

Depending on why you were told that in the past, it may still be possible to get new teeth. Nuvia’s oral surgeons perform advanced procedures, including zygomatic implants, which can work for patients with significant bone loss. Taking the 60-second quiz can help determine if you may be a candidate.

What about financing?

Nuvia offers payment options to help make treatment accessible. Our team can review your options and help you find a plan that fits your budget.
