When it comes to permanent solutions to restore your smile, you’ll want to consider getting dental implants - Not only are they the industry standard for replacing missing teeth, they can be designed to last a lifetime with proper care.

So what’s the process like to get dental implants? It depends on where you go. Traditional methods of dental implants can take up to 10+ months to get patients their permanent teeth. However, you can get your dental implants and permanent teeth in 24 hours at Nuvia. Here’s how:

The first step to getting dental implants is checking if you may be eligible for them with this 60-second quiz:

#1 The Consultation

After you get your results from the 60-second quiz to see if you may be a candidate, you can expect someone to reach out to help you set up a consultation. Don’t miss their call!

During your consultation appointment, your teeth and jawbone structure will be evaluated for potential bone loss. It’s important to know what your bone volume and density is like as it will determine the best way to move forward with your dental implants.

We understand that some patients may feel anxious about visiting the dentist, which is why we aim to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

Instead of an invasive exam in a dental chair, you will meet with a smile consultant in a private suite. They will guide you through the process, answer any questions you have, and take a brief 3D scan and photos of your mouth.

If you are a suitable candidate for dental implants, your doctor will create a custom treatment plan for you during this appointment so you know what to expect during the rest of the process while getting dental implants.

Why Even Consider Getting Dental Implants?

Full mouth dental implants are a comprehensive solution for replacing missing or damaged teeth.

Unlike traditional dentures, which can slip or move around, full mouth dental implants are anchored securely into your jawbone, providing a stable and long-lasting result.

By replacing all of your missing or damaged teeth with dental implants, you can regain the ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

Dental implants are also a great option for preventing bone loss, which can occur when teeth are missing for an extended period of time, even if you wear dentures.

By providing support to the jawbone, dental implants can help to maintain the structure and integrity of your face - something most temporary solutions for missing teeth can’t do.

Additionally, dental implants are easy to care for and can last a lifetime with proper care. With full mouth dental implants, you can enjoy a natural-looking and comfortable solution for restoring your smile and improving your overall quality of life.

#2 The Smile Design - Getting Dental Implants That Fit You

The next step in getting dental implants is designing your smile! Depending on availability, you may be able to do this right after your consultation if you'd like.

One of the great parts of getting a new smile is that you get to pick out exactly what you’d like. And no worries if you aren’t sure, you’ll have a supportive team to help you out!

During the smile design step while you pick the shape and color of your teeth, you’ll also get to confirm your medical background and history so everything goes smoothly while getting you ready for step #3…

#3 The Procedure

Step #3 is getting the dental implant procedure. ‍

You’ll come in first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and start by meeting with the anesthesia provider, who will confirm your medical history and perform a brief exam, which typically includes taking your heart rate, blood pressure, and confirming you are fasting for the required time to go under anesthesia, which is typically 12 hours.

After meeting with your surgeon as well, you’ll comfortably be put to sleep while the procedure takes place. Once the procedure is complete, you will wake up most likely feeling groggy and tired, and it's recommended to go home and take a long nap.

You may feel sleepy as the anesthesia wears off, and it's important to listen to your body and rest as much as you need to.
