Dr. Hong earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and further advanced his academic foundation by obtaining a Masters of Biomedical Sciences (MBS). This additional training provided him with a deeper understanding of the biological and scientific principles behind dental treatments, allowing him to effectively manage complex cases and optimize patient outcomes.

Dr. Hong’s commitment to excellence led him to pursue advanced training across various disciplines of dentistry, focusing particularly on restorative care, implant dentistry, and periodontal surgery. He holds certification in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), demonstrating his broad expertise in both general and restorative dentistry.

In addition, Dr. Hong holds the prestigious Associate Fellowship in Implant Dentistry (AFAAID) from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has also achieved Mastership status with renowned organizations such as the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). These honors reflect his extensive clinical experience and advanced proficiency in implant prosthodontics and oral implantology, underscoring his skill and experience in the field.

Before joining Nuvia, Dr. Hong worked as lead dentist at a practice focusing on implants, dentures, and implant-retained dentures. In this role, he provided both surgical and restorative care, where he honed his skills and developed a reputation for delivering exceptional dental results. His approach combines precision with artistry to create functional, aesthetically pleasing smiles that stand the test of time.

When he’s not transforming smiles, Dr. Hong enjoys staying active with boxing and swimming. These hobbies help him maintain physical fitness, mental focus, and balance in his life. Dr. Hong believes that a healthy lifestyle is key to personal well-being and professional success, and he encourages his patients to prioritize their health, both inside and outside the dental office.

Dr. Camron Fakhar is a dual-degree, Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida with a degree in Neuroscience, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude (with highest honors). He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) and Medical Degree (M.D.) at the prestigious institutions of UCLA and the University of Pennsylvania.

Additionally, he completed residency training in General Surgery, which included rotations in Plastic Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Neurosurgery, Critical Care as well as PGY-1 Level General Anesthesia and Pediatric Anesthesia training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He subsequently completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the same institution, serving as Chief Resident.

Dr. Fakhar’s surgical training was focused on the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including corrective jaw surgery, Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery, Complex facial trauma/reconstructions as well as adjunctive facial procedures including Botox® and Facial fillers. Heavy emphasis was placed on Dental implants, Complex bone grafting as well as Dentoalveolar surgery and General anesthesia.

In addition to being a key member of the team at Nuvia, Dr. Fakhar has always been involved in his community locally and abroad. His passion for global outreach has led him to participate in dental and medical programs in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Vietnam, where he volunteers his time performing general oral surgery procedures, pathology, and cleft lip and cleft palate reconstructive surgeries on children at an eminent hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Dr. Fakhar has been an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and his local state societies. He was past President of Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity and the International Association for Dental Research (IADR). He has had the opportunity to lecture and present around the country and has multiple publications in many topics in the field of surgery, medicine and dentistry. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, hiking, running races and discovering new golf courses to play.

His surgical portfolio includes facial trauma reconstruction, cosmetic facial surgeries, and comprehensive dental implantology.

Dr. Spencer's dedication extends beyond his clinical practice to encompass medical education and innovation. He is an active contributor to the medical field with numerous scientific publications and frequently presents at national and regional surgical conferences. Dr. Spencer is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of surgeons, teaching at a Level 1 Trauma Center and serving on interview committees and as faculty at the University of Delaware. His commitment to service shines through his volunteer efforts, including his transformative work as a craniofacial deformity and trauma surgeon in Honduras, and his involvement in philanthropic activities in New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina and across the Mid-Atlantic region.
