Growing up Dr. Samer Shaltoni was always following around his older brother who was a dentist. This ultimately led to Dr. Shaltoni going to dental school where he discovered his talent for surgery and periodontal work.
He completed his Periodontics/Implants residency at University of Illinois Chicago and has since helped patients transform their smiles with full mouth dental implants. Now, Dr. Shaltoni is an amazing part of the Nuvia team in Brookfield.
Dr. Shaltoni loves the team approach Nuvia has in providing patients with permanent teeth in 24 hours.
Patients at Nuvia don’t just meet with a single dentist. Each patient has a restorative dentist, dedicated periodontist/oral surgeon, and CRNA working to give them a high-quality experience and outcome. It also contributes to providing patients a very safe and very comfortable experience as they sleep through the procedure while being taken care of by multiple individuals.
In Dr. Shaltoni’s experience, it isn’t extremely common for a provider to use as collaborative an approach as Nuvia does, nor to have a dedicated CRNA on staff. He has seen other providers multitask between giving patients anesthesia and performing the surgery.
When he isn’t working as a periodontist, Dr. Shaltoni is likely to be found spending time with his family, enjoying football, video games, and movies.
